Anyone have any good ideas on how to speed it up at all?

I guess that would all depend on the newness of your computer. If your running a Pentium 133 then a good place to start would be upgrading the processor to a Pentium 4 or maybe even an AMD Athlon.
If you have a modern day processor, more RAM will do the trick. Try those and see where it takes you.
